About me

(made with Scimeter)

I am performing scientific research in theoretical astrophysics and theoretical nuclear physics, currently mainly at the University of Basel and the University of Hertfordshire. Additionally, I am a patent expert at the Swiss Federal Institute for Intellectual Property. My detailed Curriculum Vitae is on its own page. More about my research results and some computer tools I developed, can be found on my scientific website.

Tell me about mobility! Although by now I spent most of my work life in Switzerland, I have experience living in various countries and moving between different places (in addition to science conference travel). The map above needs some updating, though. It mainly misses my 3 years in England 2013-2015, where I was Reader of Astrophysics (associate professor) at the University of Hertfordshire. In late 2015 I quit the teaching focussed job and started working part-time at the Swiss Federal Institute for Intellectual Property to support my continuing scientific research and my life. Currently I am still Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Basel and Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Hertfordshire.
